My Photos Project- Evaluation

Theme 1 - Event – Ships coming into harbor

The main subject in this theme is ships. I took these photos because in the photos I thought the background was nice and the time of day meant that the sun was shining on the sea creating a good affect. I think the photo focuses on the main subject because the ships are the closest to the camera in every shot and also the ships are quite bright colours so draws your attention to them. I think the sun set makes the photos work because it creates a great affect of the sun shining on the water. Also when the sun was behind the clouds and was shining through the clouds. I am quite happy with my photos because I think there is quite a broad variety of styles in there. However, I think image one could be improved because the bushes on both sides of the photos are blocking the view a bit.

Theme 2 – Concept – Landscape

The main subject in this group of photos is sunshine. I took these photos because I thought the sun shining through the clouds and the sunset made a great photo and made the photo interesting. I think my photos make the audience focus on the main subject because it is the brightest thing in the photo so makes it stand out and will draw their attention straight away. The elements of the photo that make it work is that the rest of the photo is quite dark and the sun is very bright so it makes it stand out even more and makes a great effect. I am very happy with these photos because there is a lot of different styles of photo including the sea and the country side.

Theme 3 – Portrait – Animals

The main subject this topic of photos is the animals. I took these photos because I thought that they would make a nice variety of photos that I could work well with and would make interesting photos. I think my photos make people concentrate on the main subject because it is the most interesting thing in the photo so people will pay more attention to them. Also the colours on the animals are quite bright so will draw the audiences attention. I think the elements that make my photos work are that there is a variety of different angles and different shot sizes E.G. close ups and long shots so I think this makes the photos all different and more interesting. Overall I am very happy with the photos I have taken for this topic because there is a wide variety and all photos are different in this topic so makes them more interesting.
